Why can't I see the live feed?
Our state of the art Live streams use the most current version of Windows Media Player. If you have Windows 98, Windows Millemium or Windows XP your computer most likely came loaded with Media Player 7 and you will need to install the newer version of Windows Media Player 9 or above.
Why does the WMP camera window just say buffering?
You must have a high speed connection either DSL or Cable. Our cams run with a bit rate of up to 400K. If you are getting a constant "buffering" message in the player window then your connection is not fast enough. This usually happens when you are using a shared wireless connection. Most "wired" users will not experience this error.
Can I download videos without being a member of Surfing Live?
You are not required to have a paid subscription. You can browse all of the videos available (as well as the trailers) and pay only when you download the videos of your choice.
How long does it take to download a video?
Users with a high-speed connection can expect a download time of 20-45 minutes for a 45-minute, high quality video.
Where does the video go on my computer when I download the file?
After paying for the video, you are automatically sent to the download page. Simply click the download tab, and you will be prompted as to where to save the file.
What size will the video be for viewing on my computer screen?
The video will typically be about 1/4 the size of your computer screen. If you wish to enlarge the video during playback, maximize the media player window and right click on the viewing area to select the size you like.
What if I lose or delete one of my recently downloaded files?
You can log into your account, go to "downloads" and find a listing of all the videos that have been downloaded. If they are still in the ten-day time frame of the initial transaction, you can select the file and download it at any time.
